Fee options

At The Therapy Nest, we want to be able to meet you where you are. We are also cognizant of the fact that our therapists and other staff members need to be paid well. In order to do this, we are offering you several options.

Cost Structure and Options

1

Insured or Out of Pocket

~$130 plus tax

Direct billing available for Bluecross including Veterans Affairs, Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP), Sunlife (Campus Trust,PBAS ONLY), Greenshield Canada

Reimbursements available (depending on your plan) from Manulife, Sunlife, Canadalife, Johnson, etc.

2

Pay Scale

~$95 plus tax

If you have an inability to pay or no longer have access to insured services, you can choose this option.

Credit card only

3

Free

Up to 16 sessions with a student therapist, then pay what you can (minimum $25 maximum $50 including taxes)

Direct Billing

We currently accept BlueCross and Campus Trust (PBAS) as direct billing options. We are always working on adding new providers, so check back regularly to see who we are directly working with.

Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours advanced notice of cancellation for all types of appointments including free consultations. You will be charged the full session fee for appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours advanced notice.

If you are rescheduling a free consultation with less than 24 hours advance notice, you will be charged $50 to the card you put on file when booking the appointment.

The reason we have this cancellation policy is because we have reserved that time for you and it is virtually impossible for us to fill an open slot with less than 24 hours advance notice.

What if I don't have insurance?

Paying out of pocket can mean a greater personal investment in your therapy, which can lead to getting more out of it. For some, this investment may not be feasible – in which case, we can help you find alternatives.

However, there are also some advantages to consider if you do not go through insurance. For example, paying out of pocket means that your therapy experience is more private – none of your records, diagnostic information, or authorization for services must go through insurance.

Trauma-Informed and Racially-Informed.

ADHD, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, etc.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills, Mindfulness, & Family Therapy

Direct billing for insurance companies such as Bluecross, Sunlife (PBAS/Campus Trust only), Greenshield and reimbursable for many others depending on your plan.
