About Emily

Emily is a former St. Thomas University graduate who obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology in 2022. Currently completing her Master in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, Emily is passionate about helping others. Her initial interest in psychology and aiding individuals stemmed from her recent work as a behavioral interventionist with Autism Intervention in Saint John, NB. Beyond her professional pursuits, Emily finds fulfillment in nurturing her relationships with family and friends while pursuing her aspirations of becoming a psychotherapist.

 

Emily takes pride in her counseling approach, emphasizing a non-judgmental and safe space to foster authentic connections with her clients. Throughout her internship, she is eager to explore various therapeutic methods, including trauma-informed approaches and cognitive-behavioral techniques tailored to each client's needs.

 

Excited for the next phase of her professional journey, Emily looks forward to connecting with future clients and expanding her knowledge and skill set in the field. She is currently accepting clients aged 12+ and can be booked online or contacted via email. 

 

Emily specializes in working with individuals who struggle with trauma and other general mental health issues.
