About Alyssa

Alyssa completed her B.Sc in Psychology and Certificate of Criminology at Memorial University in 2021. She is passionate about helping others and her initial interest in reaching out for a clinical placement came from her desire to work within her community providing mental health therapy to people and animals. She currently plays softball and dedicates her time to her own self-growth and future career ambitions.

Her approach to counselling is rooted in creating a non-judgmental, safe space and an authentic connection in collaboration with clients. During her internship Alyssa will be exploring various therapeutic methods, practicing from a holistic, trauma-informed approach best suited to her clients.
